Q: What is Plasticlad®?
A: Plasticlad® is expanded rigid PVC material that looks, feels, and works like wood. It has a small cell microstructure, with a density similar to white pine, with a unique range of physical properties that make it the next generation of exterior trim products.

Q: Is Plasticlad® better than wood?
A: Yes. It offers an array of weather resistant features not found in any known woods. These include resistance to rot, moisture, mildew, cupping, splitting, warping, or delaminating. Plasticlad® is resistant to ALL insects, including termites and carpenter ants.

Q: Is Plasticlad® better than other PVC exterior trim products?
A: Yes. Its formulation and manufacturing create a uniformity and density that set it apart as the best PVC trim available. There are no core voids, dog boning, or cave in. It has a LIFETIME warranty, the best available!

Q: How do I cut Plasticlad®?
A: Use the same tools you would to cut wood. Circular saws, jig saws, and band saws will work fine. Carbide tipped blades are recommended.

Q: How do I nail Plasticlad®?
A: Just like wood. Hand or power nailing is acceptable. Any weatherproof wire nail suitable for wood will work. The more nails you use, the better it holds.

Q: Do I have to paint Plasticlad® trim?
A: No. It does not need to be painted to retain its color or resistance to weather.

Q: Can I paint Plasticlad®?
A: Yes. There are certain applications where it is desirable to finish Plasticlad® with a painted surface. It accepts paint better than wood, and lasts for years!

Q: What type of paint can I use?
A: 100% acrylic latex paint. Consult your manufacturer's recommendations for application and preparation information.

Q: Can I glue Plasticlad®?
A: Yes. It adheres to wood, masonry, and a variety of substrates using standard construction adhesives and to itself and other PVC products using PVC cement.

Q: Is Plasticlad® made from recycled material?
A: No. It is produced from virgin PVC resin and other quality raw materials. It is not a composite and has no post consumer trash in it for uncompromised quality.

Q: What sizes does Plasticlad® come in?
A: Plasticlad® is the most complete product line available with stock sized boards and sheets, and custom widths up to 48" wide available.
